Belle’s Journey
Written by Dr. Rob Bierregaard & Illustrated by Kate Garchinsky
Take flight with Belle, an osprey born on Martha’s Vineyard as she learns to fly and migrates for the first time to Brazil and back–a journey of more than 8,000 miles.
IMPORTANT: Messages from osprey experts
I haven’t seen the little guy yet this morning, but I would be very surprised if he survived the night. That sure was tough to watch yesterday, but that whole process is as much a part of the essence of being an Osprey as is eating a fish. It’s part of the life of Ospreys that was rarely seen before we started putting cameras in nests. As hard as it is, we should not label the behavior as mean or cruel. Being mean or cruel implies that there is intent to do harm just for harm’s sake. Those young were responding to a set of stimuli (very little food being delivered to the nest and the presence of a very small young) in a way that evolution has hard-wired into them. It helps ensure their survival. Nature is not cruel. It is harsh, unforgiving, and often random (had the little guy been born 1st, he would have been just as aggressive as was his sibling), but not cruel or mean.

Thanks Rob for bringing your knowledge and experience to help us all gain perspective here. We are all saddened by the events that unfolded before our eyes and it’s only natural for all of us to feel and express our emotions appropriately. There have been many issues pertaining to intervention which have been discussed amongst us all. There is no doubt in my mind that the right decision was made, to let nature take it’s course. By the way, that doesn’t equate to heartless, on the contrary, nobody feels worse about this then the apparent decision makers. I say apparent, because when all was said and done, and all the issues were properly weighed, there really weren’t any other options. It was clearly pointed out, by experts, that intervening at this stage could have spooked the whole nest to the point of losing all the young. If the little one was saved, and nursed back to health, what kind of a life would it have had, perhaps caged up in a zoo. I remember when I was younger I saw a golden eagle in captivity, caged behind a wire mesh. I could practically see it’s tears. As far as placing the little one in another nest, such a low probability of success would never have justified the possibility of spooking the nest. There’s a piece of me, however heavy hearted, that believes that perhaps it is better to be born free and die free. We mourn for the little one as we marvel at the wonders of nature.
Hello Paul,
Thanks for your query, and you have my admiration for persevering. We know very well how tough your job is, including dealing with an anxious public.
Our policy with our Bird Cams project is essentially “just say no” to pleas for interference. The behavior you are witnessing – while seemingly cruel and heartless to us – is natural for many kinds of birds, especially those that feed on variable, unpredictable food supplies. The little nestling does have a chance to survive, but if it does not then that result was “meant to be” by the nature of Osprey breeding strategy. The wonderful things about these nest cameras also sometimes yield the difficult things for us to watch. As you might know, we actually post a “siblicide alert” on some of our cams where we suspect the possibility exists.
I’m copying your note to Charles Eldermire, project leader for our Bird Cams. He may have some additional comments, and he would be the one to ask if we might be able to use your stored files for biological analysis.
Best wishes, and good luck,
John W. Fitzpatrick
Director, Cornell Lab of Ornithology
It’s also important to acknowledge that intervening can also cause problems of its own—depending on the ages of the birds in the nest, disturbing them can trigger an early fledge. We have restricted the scenarios in which we would even consider intervening to injuries or dangers that are explicitly human-derived. For example, 3 or 4 years ago we were alerted by viewers that one of the osprey chicks at the Hellgate Osprey nest was entangled in monofilament line. We consulted with our partners there (wildlife biologists, raptor researchers, raptor rehabbers) to determine if the monofilament was an issue, and if intervening was both likely to solve the issue AND not have bad effects on the other nestlings. In the end, a quick trip to the nest was scheduled via a bucket truck, the monofilament was removed, and the nestlings all eventually fledged. In that case, all of the permits were already in hand to be studying the ospreys, and we had already discussed how to approach issues in the nest.
Good luck to the young one—hope it all turns out well.
charles.

I’ve been to your site—great cam! And I noticed the runt in the nest. This is just normal Osprey reproduction. It happens all the time and you should not intervene. It’s tough to watch, but it’s how nature works. Ospreys almost always lay 3 eggs and on average fledge between 1 and 1.5 young each year. They stagger the hatch so there is a spread of ages in the young. That way, if food is short, the first-hatched (and therefore largest) will get enough food to survive while the smaller nest mates do not. If all three young were the same size and there was only enough food for 1 young, none of the young would get enough food and they would all die. If there’s lots of food, the smallest will eventually get fed and can survive. These nest cams can show some gut-wrenching scenes. The most infamous perhaps was one of the very first Osprey cams (on Long Island somewhere), where the smallest young died. One of the adults carried it out of the nest and after several minutes flew back into the nest and fed it to the other young. Waste-not-want-not at its goriest. At Hog Island up in Maine just last week a Bald Eagle came in and took the young out of the nest. Last year at another nest, cameras documented a Great-horned Owl taking young Ospreys out of a nest in NJ or MD. All of these things have been going on for millions of years and Ospreys are doing fine.

I want to vote for solar & eclipse. I just joined the facebook group today and was going to vote there but they do not have these two names together as a choice. I asked them why and they said I can only vote in one place so I am voting here. Although I have been watching this site for three years I only found about the facebook group today when it was mentioned here that it existed.
Tough choice — they are all great names!! After much thought I’m going w/ Breeze and Spirit.

8-29-17 Baby 2 gets a fish from George later around 6:15 am or so, both Babies got breakfast like always from Good O Dad..
Truly beautiful picture.
I vote for Blondie (chick #1) and Brownie (chick #2) as their names.
8-29-17 Reply- Betsy I have you vote.
As the season winds down, I’m both hopeful that our birds have a safe journey and also melancholy that the nest will be empty. If anyone hasn’t done so, do watch GinaM’s video tribute to the ‘ Summer of 2015.’ It’s nostalgic and so tastefully done.
Still voting for Brownie and Blondie
8-29-17 Reply- Cheryl you are still there thanks for posting.
I vote for Solar & Eclipse for the very fitting names for 2017.
8-29-17 Reply- Theresa B thank you for joining and your name has been added to the list.
Right back in the swing! Brownie calling in his fish………….
Just like the last one, he takes it and goes.
Blondie is still working on hers.
@17:52- George brings one to Blondie
Took it offsides right to eat it.
It was so good to log on to OZ and see this handsome face again! I hear he’s been back since at least early afternoon.
Did scrollback and see George brought him a fish at 16:42
Just saw he(Brownie) was in this a.m.
Brownie & Blondie for the names. Thank you Rjoneal for this contest and all you are to the G & G Family.
8-29-17 Reply- MFPI I have added your name to the list, thanks for posting and joining in. You are very kind, thank you for letting me share the happiness this Osprey Family and Followers give me.
I vote simply for Blondie and Brownie, I am so used to Carol’s naming by now. BUT …………..
I do not know how you tell them apart. Carol …… detailed information…. PLEASE. THANKS, Rodee
Hey-Rodee…..Posting most recent I have and you can see the differences….Blondie first…..as you can see, there is a dark stripe that runs all the way to her bill. From the back, her neck has more white feathers. I think she’s bigger and rounder, so I guess female…
Betsy had pointed out when they were younger that one was lighter, more blonde. I happened to see a Dairy Queen commercial about Blizzards and the ingredients mentioned were brownies and blondies……….
Betsy also posts each week for their weekly birthdays. They should help you, too.
BLONDIE–from 8/06
These photos are cprt2017ospreyzone.com/TaxReductionServices.com
Brownie’s face has more white area above the beak while from the back, the neck has smaller white patches and much more brown…
You can also tell by behavior…..Blondie is more of a homebody, generally eating in the nest while Brownie usually takes his fish to-go……
I hope we get to see them for a few more weeks! The summer has gone so quickly!
BROWNIE #2 on 8/28
I found I have way more close-ups of Brownie–the camera hog…..
Blondie
That was 8/16/17
Brownie-8/15/17
8-29-17 Rodee Hansen thank you for your vote, you take care, dont over do it and play wonder woman or being such a strong solider, take time to enjoy all the little things that make you happy. You are always putting others before your needs but now is the time to finally put Rodee as number 1. HUGS
Glad to see chick #2 “home” today!!
Chick #1 is 12 weeks old today.

Thank you Rjoneal for leading this contest/vote, otherwise these two sweeties would leave for
migration virtually nameless, as thousands do each year. BUT, our two are special celebrities
and every effort needs to be made to roll out the red carpet on departure with them dressed in their finest plumage,
with names!! Kudos to everyone contributing to the G & G Reality Show.
8-29-17 Reply Lyn D thank you I have you on the list and your words beautifully written. You have been with us since 2015 havent you? I think I remember seeing your name back then for sure last year. Did you have a pic with a pet bird parrot or something? Anyways I know you have been watching all this year and I am glad we can give our babies a name before they leave. Take care

8-28-17 THERE YOU ARE hungry too, Baby 2 comes to nest this morn gets fish fr George
8-28-17
Are so cute!
tks I thought it was kinda funny and cute almost standing sideways on the rim of the nest. Silly birds….
06:04- BREAKFISH IS SERVED!
Chick #2 and Gracie were not on the nest today (8/27); I only saw George and chick #1 on the nest. Chick #1 was on the nest as daylight broke and came back a few times throughout the day. George brought fish for chick #1, and a couple of times brought a fish to the nest but either there was nobody there or chick #1 was still working on a fish, and he made a couple of deliveries of nesting material. I last saw chick #2 on the nest on 8/26 at 07:49. I last saw Gracie when she make a fish delivery on 8/25 at 17:12. (Gracie left last year on September 2nd.)
Do you have her departure date from 2015? I seem to remember her going around 8/28 or 29 that year. The nest I watch at work-Vic & Vera of Verizon nest…I think Vera has been gone at least 4-5 days or more. It’s hard to be sure, but I don’t think there’s more than one juvie left of the 2. Vic is still feeding his kid, too. There’s always one hanger-on!
CarolV: I had only started watching in 2015 just around Ronnie and Sandy fledged. I didn’t know Gracie from George, so I don’t know when she left!!
Betsy did you get the calendar Alizarin made for everyone last Season, if so info is on there.
Carol I have posted before in past but here is info from 2015 also it is on the calendare Alizarin made us and I think Helen gave you one.

Helen: Sorry to disappoint, but that was George. 🙁
Micheal G. Martin were have you been? You have not enter a vote for Baby Naming 2017. Hope all is ok
@about 15:36- Blondie started alarming and wing fluttering—
a shadow hovered directly over the nest, then landed on the porch side. You could see wisps of wing feathers…….
with lots of wing shaking and squawking, Blondie chased him away…VF maybe?
SORRY SORRY I WAS WRONG GEO BROUGHT THE FISH TO BABY 1 SOOOOOOO SORRY even though i watched it some how I missed George bring fish to baby 1
so NO FIRST FISH FOR BABY 1 UGH…… 🙁
I WILL WAIT NEXT TIME BEFORE POSTING SO SORRY AGAIN.
Rjoneal: I HATE when that happens!! Re: when I thought Rocky caught a really b-i-g fish last year and it was really a swaperoo for his minnow with Ali’s discarded fish!! Even made a video highlighting the big fish which I had to re-do!! 😀 😀 😀
8-29-17 Betsy thanks for posting what happened to you, I really felt bad and did not want to give out wrong info. That 1 sec that I missed changed the whole story just glad that I did finally see it. A whole video that was a lot of work to re-do I only had to re-label pictures. I am always learning something new thats for sure.
I really liked my picture on Poster too, I was going to leave the Official portrait to you like previous years. I dont know if we will ever get one this year.
Rjoneal: I have an idea for a layout I thought would look nice, just have to find good pictures!!
Ranay –
Who cares that you may – or even may not – have been wrong? It is more important that you are interested enough to go onto the website and observe and to share your observations in a kind and thoughtful manner. I thank you for that – it is greatly appreciated.
8-29-17 Reply- Helen thanks for your kind words and posting to me. I was so upset with myself I do try to be careful and not mislead anyone and I felt so bad that I might have raised everyone’s hopes up just to let them down.
As you said it was not intentional I was just trying to pass on a joyful moment. Thanks again Helen, take care.
George was in with a fish. He called and no one came. So he went.
The Correct pic of Baby 1 w fish
George brought fish to baby 1 I was wrong so sorry
9:30 ish, morning of 27 Aug; watched this one bring in this fish. Looks like one of the kids? With all that white on feathers?
JanL: Sorry to disappoint, but, George had brought a fish for chick #1 at 9:13-ish; the chick flew off with the fish at 9:21-ish and then returned to the nest with it at 9:26-ish.
ON THIS DAY- 8-27-17
OOPS MISSPELLING on pic was so excited to see forgot to check…
HAPPY DAY BABY 1 GOES FISHING AND GETS A FISH!
No I was wrong George gave fish to baby 1 sooo sorry guys
Rjoneal: I HATE when that happens!! Re: when I thought Rocky caught a really b-i-g fish last year and it was really a swaperoo for his minnow with Ali’s discarded fish!!
Even made a video which I had to re-do!! 😀 😀 😀
8-29-17 Reply- Betsy I thought for sure I had all the pictures to back up what I was seeing. Missed that split second picture that said it all though. Thank goodness I finally saw it on the 5th time rewinding.
Thanks for trying to make me feel better. A whole video wow that was a lot of work and I was upset on all the pictures I had to go back and re-label.
@09:13—Blondie gets her fish…..from George. She’s been waiting at the nest, knowing Dad always comes through………..
In gratitude, she flaps at Dad to scram……………….
off he goes……………
……and Blondie flies out a few minutes later………….it’s good that she’s learning to eat perching somewhere. A skill she will need.

8-27-17 BABY NAMING VOTE-Let us all look at the top 3 names that are in the running for THE BABY NAMING CONTEST BY FOLLOWERS,
Starting on Monday 8-28-17 we need to take a vote on ONLY the following names listed below
Brownie & Blondie
Breeze & Spirit
Solar & Eclipse
Dear Rj, If you still want my final vote it is Solar & Eclipse Thanks, Bob
9-3-17 Reply- Bob I have added you to the list and your vote is being counted for Solar & Eclipse, thanks for voting.
George has been in and out with nestorations….brought in some sticks.
He sat looking around, maybe waiting to see if anyone flew in. He and Blondie haven’t been there at the same time.
Doin’ the chest push…………….getting the nest set for winter.
Blondie was in the nest as the sun came up. She was there till after dark with a late fish George delivered.
With what scrollback video I watched, I haven’t seen Brownie.
8/26–This was George bringing Blondie a late fish last night. She sat and just held it for a while, so by the time she started to eat, it was already getting dark.
Even tho we are all making name suggestions in pairs, including me, I find myself drawn to Eclipse.
So I’m choosing Earhart #!—-Eclipse#2 ….and of course, Eggbert
All OZ Followers- If you missed it WTR97 made a video of the flopping fish it is a great video of the event. Thanks again for making the video so glad you are still with us.
Solar & Eclipse my vote.
8-28-17 Reply- Tucker I have added your name to list thanks for posting I was wondering if your were going to join so thank you. Glad you are part of our Osprey Family.
Please, please, please, don’t visit the nest. It is on a private road in a private community. There is no parking there only private driveways and the nest is on private property. We don’t want to become an issue with the neighbors. Thanks
Early this morning, 6:00 AM or so, sun rising, nobody home at the nest!
I was happy to see Gracie still around when she dropped off a partial fish to chick #1 who was on the nest.
@18:48–George brought in seaweed to be greeted by Brownie in nest and Blondie on perch. They told him about the lost fish and George flew out.
about 10 mins. later, George was back and Brownie got it. Blondie must have told George she needed dessert.
Brownie took a firm grip on his fish and went out to dinner.
A few minutes later, George brought another fish for his princess. He let it go to flip around the nest. It almost made it over the side, but Blondie caught it. George watched till she had it, then left. Such a good dad!
Blondie ate most of that fish and left a tailfin when she went up.
George brought in a big fish for Brownie…a big flipper!
Brownie had it under control but had to ride it like a bronco!
He was eying the perch and took a jump for it…………..
…the weight of the fish pulled them over left side of nest and down….
He must have lost the fish …..
He was back shortly after, empty footed and ready to haunt Blondie.
When he worked his way over to her, Blondie jumped to perch. There must have been some fish left, because he was on the porch for a while and cleaned his beak when he walked back in sight.
@16:23—Blondie came in complaining about 5 mins. ago. Nest has been empty since breakfast, as far as I’ve seen. Now she’s calling for service. She looks like she’s waiting for that sailboat to float right in her mouth!
After her wait, George brought Blondie a fish @17:12
CarolV: That’s Gracie!! (No spots on inside of wings and mark on right chest!!)
Friday afternoon….always a popular day for sailboat watching!
No osprey watching today….nest has been empty since early this morning….
……………………SAILBOATS……………………………………………
(forgot them…oops…….)
My vote is for Solar and Eclipse. Been great fun seeing all the names that have been suggested. Many thanks to everyone.
8-26-17 Reply Isobel I have added your name to the list thanks for joining in. Take care.
Flashback Friday…………….4/25/16–George bringing Gracie “flowers” on a damp spring morning………………
CarolV too funny I just posted early 2 pics of Geo flying in with stick showing nest and him along with sun rising pretty much the same view just 2 different years below. Guess we both had Geo on our minds.
5:50am- George brings in a fish to a hungry Blondie
Brownie showed up a minute later. Tried his usual casual edge around the nest till within reach maneuver ……..
Blondie said” Not this time, Bro!” and left, fish and nesting trailing behind………
Brownie hung around, complaining and checking for leftovers where Blondie was……then took off.
George came in @6:26 with a nice fish and no one home……waited around for a taker but nobody showed up. Took his fish and left.

Love is in the air…do-do–do-do-DOO- I can see the floating hearts!
8-26-17 Reply- Thanks CarolV and Yes EGGBERT is in the middle of the babies.
This is great!! Hard to believe it wasn’t that long ago and that the kids today are the same as the ones in this picture (every year I think the same thing)! I’m already starting to get choked up thinking of them leaving soon….
8-26-17 Reply- Chris H me too Chris, as soon I see the nest empty for the 1st time I start to prepare myself so I wont go in to shock when they are gone. This year has really been hard on me since Sweet Gracie moved out of the nest so early I hope she does not make this her new routine next year. Out of all The Ospreys we get to see the (mom) Osprey Gracie the least since she is the last to arrive at the nest and the 1st to leave booo. I am already sad knowing our babies might not even come to nest with a fish they get on their own. At the rate they appear at the nest at meal time and get fish from Geo I sure hope they are fishing some. They need to start growing up and learn quick or migration will be hard on them.
This year at the nest just has been so different other than our George. He is the same in his routine just better. Take care.
Wonderful picture Ranay – don’t know if we will have a calendar this year and this would be perfect.
Thanks Helen.

8-26-17 Reply- Becky I have added your name to the list, I put you with Breeze & Spirit since it has more votes than Luna & Sol. Thank you for joining in.
Is this the same Becky that used to have an osprey for pic on Gravatar?
2 different years George bringing in a stick to an empty nest
Looked like someone was using a flashlight
to search around a couple of times
Birds flying late to
the nest
Have seen that odd light before….always a little creepy….and the birds don’t like it, for sure!
Yes CarolV wasn’t just last week or week before it happened and June C and several of us including you posted pics…..
Rjoneal…any problem with choosing names from different pairs, as they did last two years? I’m torn…..
I would go with Earhart and Eclipse
and Eggbert!
Got it lady:)
8-26-17 CarolV I have made your change of name choices. 🙂
18:33- Another one from George to a waiting Blondie….
It’s a nice sized headless fish. She held it for a while, probably waiting for the last fish to process! She eventually ate it, then headed up.
It looked like Brownie tried several times to get up to perch….may have made it finally, but was too dark to see if he came back down!
George is super patient with these two. Especially since Gracie doesn’t seem to be helping as much this year. I don’t remember her taking these long sojourns in previous years…..I remember that she was at the nest most days until suddenly she wasn’t. Guess this is just another proof that the more you watch, the more you learn……expect the unexpected!
Temps tonight low 60s…when I drove to work this a.m., passing thru a section of the pine barrens, the temp was 57 @ about 7:30am. Was a warm sunny day and tomorrow is supposed to be a repeat.
17:27—A waiting Blondie…..
Pretty porgy for Papa’s Princess…………
That is a nice looking fish !
CarolV Great shot with the feather out like a finger and just enough of George flying in with that big fish.
TY!
RENOS by Blondie
CarolV I watched this whole event, it was like watching mom & dad G&G, Baby learned the skill of moving those big heavy sticks and not to give up till you get it were you want it. Good Job my sweetie baby osprey.
@15:12……Here comes the fish………
George was dancing trying to control this strong, wriggly fish! And the attack of the hungry Brownie!
Brownie sat and studied the view for several minutes………
I’M OUTTA HERE!!!!!
I vote for Solar & Eclipse – I missed much of this season – Summer has flown by this year! Love these & all Osprey’s but my newest bird love is purple martins!
8-26-17 Reply- RobinMD Hi, we have missed you glad you are seeing these beautiful 2 strong babies as they get ready to migrate and they are the 3rd batch of babies from G&G.
Gracie moved out of nest early so we do not know if we will know when she leaves to migrate. George is still providing fish about 3-4 times a day at the nest sometimes more.
I have added your name to the list. Thanks for checking in when you can.

Helloooo Aidan or Paul. This is my second comment re page 65 and 2 other people have also noted the problem with the page. I’m repeating my comment:
THERE’S SOMETHING WRONG WITH PAGE 65. WHETHER YOU CLICK ON “PREVIOUS” WHILE ON PAGE 66, “NEXT” WHILE ON PAGE 64 OR DIRECTLY ON PAGE 65 IT JUST OPENS TO A BLANK PAGE.
Attached picture:
Hi Betsy, I am aware of the problem and am trying to figure out what is causing it.
Thank you.
cute character
Anybody see the fish?
I love Solar and Eclipse for names. So fitting for this year 🙂
8-24-17 Reply- Sue B I have added your name to the list, thanks for joining and posting.
Had late hours today so didn’t get to see much of the happenings at the nest..I know Blondie had some fish. Hope some posts to catch me up.It’s time these spoiled brats get out there fishing! I expected Brownie to be bringing his own by now. I guess he could be eating elsewhere….
First thing I saw when I logged in was that clump of unraveled, frayed rope. Looks like something Gracie would love! Hope someone posted who and when it appeared.
Blondie decided it needed to be moved……..
Looks like 2 kids upstairs tonight. It’s supposed to cool down and you can feel it already. Temps dropping in to low 60s and even high 50s in pine barrens; typically cooler than anywhere out here.
CarolV: George brought rope yesterday, 8/23, at 8:34:17.
Thanks….I was hoping Gracie- cause it seemed so HER!
CarolV: I guess her love of funky things rubbed off on him 😀 😀
Name contest still open? If yes, my choices are Thomas and Pierce
8-24-17 Reply- birdRJSviewer nice to see you post and no it is not to late, I have added your name and Choices to the list.
Thanks for posting.
My choice for the names are Breeze and Spirit
8-24-17 Reply- Margaret R Thank you for your name changes, I have added you to the list and have taken Bailey & Layla off. Good Luck!
Hi to all, Has anyone seen a chick catch a fish yet? I haven’t but I’m not watching a lot either and may have missed it. I like the names Solar and Eclipse. Just seems to fit for the obvious reason. The youngsters had better start catching fish soon. Long trip will be coming up.
8-23-17 Reply- Bob, No we have not been able to see any of the babies bring a fish in the nest. They do still come to nest 2-3 times a day at meal time to get fish from George. This makes us believe they might still be practicing their dives but not being successful yet. We have seen George slow down on deliveries but they are still getting enough from him.
We might not even witness a baby bringing in a fish to the nest that they get themselves since they already fly off with fish from Geo and eat in trees. They have been spending most of their time away from nest unless they are looking for food.
This Year has been an unusual one since it is the first time Gracie left the nest early but she is in the area and has made a brief appearance about 1x a week or so. The babies were just beginning to self feed and she moved out of nest and has not stayed around nest area very much nor has she brought in fish for the babies except a couple of times. Usually she would help George feed the babies by bringing in fish too and hanging out to watch their progress until they start fishing on their own but she has moved on to a new place to stay until she migrates. Guess since there are only 2 babies she figures George can handle this. Last previous years this would be the time she would let George feed her and bring fish to her too. George might be meeting her in the trees and giving her fish so she has no need to go to nest.( My Backyard Ospreys in Florida do this once they want the babies to fish on their own. Dad will call out to mom and meet in a tree and give her a fish but my ospreys here don’t migrate so could be different with Migration Ospreys.)
I just hope she is fating up for winter migration which could be anytime for her.
Thank you for posting and joining in with naming the babies I have added your choices to the list.
Dear Rj, Thanks for the quick reply and the good update. I always can count on you. Also thanks for adding my name vote. Just hope those youngsters learn to feed themselves in time for migration. Know you feel the same. Regards, Bob
ALL OZ -Just have share, made me laugh there are several poses of this I will probably do something with them later but for now hope it makes you smile too.
1 more
Love it!
8-24-17 Reply- Sue Thank you for noticing and posting. I feel like sometimes I am talking to an empty room, but if I can make just 1 person smile or feel as happy as me when I look at our osprey family then that makes me even happier. Last year so many followers posted and this year has been very little and very little comments. I feel happiest when I can share a funny or cute moment with others. Take care and once again thanks for comment.
Top shot…..can you see me now?????
So cute!
Chick #2 is 11 weeks old today.
